About Beloved Tale and these terms

Beloved Tale is a freelance digital e-book service based in Dehiwala, Sri Lanka. These terms apply to the website and to orders for personalised children’s or couple storybooks. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and the referenced policies.

Eligibility and authority

Customers must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of making the purchase. An adult ordering for a child confirms that they are a parent, legal guardian or otherwise have lawful authority and consent to provide the child’s information and photographs. The same responsibility applies to information and photographs of any other person included in an order.

The service

Beloved Tale creates personalised digital storybooks, including children’s stories and couple keepsakes, using customer-provided details and photographs. The purchased product is delivered as a digital PDF. No physical book is included unless a separate physical product is expressly offered and purchased in the future.

AI-assisted tools help generate story text and illustrations. Creative outputs may contain reasonable artistic variation and are not a photographic or exact representation of a person.

Customer information and submitted content

Customers are responsible for accurate names, language choices, story details, contact information and suitable photographs. Customers must have the authority to upload and use every photograph and item of content they submit.

Illegal, abusive, exploitative, infringing, deceptive or otherwise harmful content is prohibited. Beloved Tale may reject or stop an inappropriate or unlawful order and provide a suitable refund where applicable to the circumstances and work already performed.

Story review and approval

The customer receives a review and edit stage for generated story text. The customer should carefully check names, facts, language and wording. Approval locks the story text and begins customised artwork processing. Later text changes may be unavailable or may require a separately agreed adjustment.

Prices and payment

The applicable price and currency are shown during checkout. Payment is processed through PayHere. An order starts only after Beloved Tale receives and verifies the payment-provider notification. Redirection to a website return page by itself does not prove that payment was successful.

Processing and digital delivery

Processing estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed deadlines. Generation may take longer because of order complexity, language/font processing, service availability, safety checks or the need to correct an output.

The customer is responsible for using a compatible device, browser and internet connection to access and save the delivered PDF. The secure download may require the original checkout reference. Customers should contact Beloved Tale if a verified order cannot be downloaded.

Refunds and corrections

The Refund and Return Policy forms part of these terms. It explains cancellation limits for customised work and circumstances in which correction, replacement or refund may be available.

Ownership and permitted use

Customer uploads remain owned by their respective owner. The customer grants Beloved Tale a limited licence to receive, store, adapt and process submitted content only as reasonably necessary to create, deliver, secure and support the order.

Beloved Tale retains its trademarks, branding, templates, website and underlying service materials. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the final personalised PDF is licensed to the purchasing customer for personal, non-commercial use. This does not transfer rights in third- party material or permit resale of Beloved Tale templates or services.

Availability and events outside our control

Beloved Tale does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or third-party infrastructure. The service may be delayed or unavailable because of maintenance, network or provider outages, payment issues, natural events, government action or other circumstances reasonably outside Beloved Tale’s control. We will take reasonable steps to restore or complete affected orders.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Beloved Tale is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by inaccurate or unauthorised customer submissions, or failures outside its reasonable control. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, these terms do not exclude or restrict the customer’s mandatory rights or remedies. Any limitation will be applied reasonably in light of the affected order and applicable law.

Governing law, severability and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Beloved Tale may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The version published when an order is placed applies to that order unless a change is required by law or is agreed with the customer.
